TYNE Skin Inc. ("TYNE," "we," "us," or "our") operates tyneskin.ca (the "Site"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it simple: we collect only what we need to run the store and serve you, and we never sell your personal information.

What We Collect

When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number (if provided), and order details. Payment card details are processed directly by our payment providers and are never stored on our servers.

When you sign up for our email list, we collect your email address and any preferences you share.

When you browse the Site, we and our service providers collect standard technical information — such as your device type, browser, IP address, and pages viewed — through cookies and similar technologies. This helps the Site function (like keeping items in your cart) and helps us understand how people use it.

How We Use It

We use your information to process and deliver orders, send order confirmations and shipping updates, respond to your messages, provide refunds under our guarantee, improve the Site and our products, and — only if you've opted in — send marketing emails about TYNE.

Who We Share It With

We share information only with the service providers that make the store work: Shopify (our e-commerce platform), payment processors, shipping carriers, and our email platform. These providers are contractually required to protect your information and may only use it to provide services to us. We may also disclose information where required by law.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Marketing Emails

We send marketing emails only with your consent, in accordance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect promptly. Transactional emails about your order (confirmations, shipping updates) are sent regardless, because they're part of fulfilling your purchase.

Cookies

The Site uses cookies for essential functions (cart, checkout, security) and analytics. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may affect how the Site works.

How Long We Keep It

We keep order information for as long as needed to fulfil orders, handle refunds, and meet legal requirements such as tax record-keeping. Email list information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

Your Rights

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to legal record-keeping requirements). To make a request, email hello@tyneskin.ca and we'll respond promptly. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.

Security

The Site uses SSL encryption, and payments are handled by PCI-compliant processors. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and limit access to it.

Children

The Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here with a revised date. Material changes will be noted clearly.
